Windows 11 version 26H1 is a specialized release for next-generation hardware platforms, available only preinstalled on select new devices launching in early 2026. It isn't an annual feature update and isn't offered through Windows Update for in-place upgrades on existing devices.
For enterprise deployment, Microsoft recommends continuing with versions 24H2 and 25H2. Version 26H1 follows the standard Windows 11 servicing timeline (24 months for Pro and 36 months for Enterprise) and continues to receive monthly security and preview updates.
